I had sent the Leica M9 back for service to replace the CCD sensor that was starting to show evidence of corrosion. This was the subject of a recall and Leica is repairing the sensors for free. It just takes a few months for it to happen. I was concerned about the calibration of the sensor, but it looks like the new CCD (not CMOS) sensor is sharp and accurate with all of the film “feel” of the original M9 sensor.
