Walking to work, I managed to spot a mighty big aircraft flying overhead.  What you see in this picture is  247 feet long from the nose to the tail and the wingspan is 223 feet, and it is flying at approximately 38,000ft.  The C-5 Galaxy is one of the largest aircraft on the planet.

I’ve flown in the C-5 and even been able to spend time with the Galaxy up close and personal a few years ago, and they are indeed mighty aircraft.  But this is the first one I’ve ever seen that I happened to simply look up and see in flight.
