Portrait: Ayla Khan (In My Office)

Ayla Khan

Camera: Leica M9
Exposure: 1/8
Aperture: f/1.7
Focal Length: 50mm (with petroleum mask)
ISO: 200

This portrait of Ayla Khan was made on a visit to my office to talk coding.  The image was made as an experiment of sorts to enhance the blur at the risk of losing some sharpness by smearing petroleum on the lens, thicker on the edges than the center.  Actually, I tried not getting it on the center, but failed.  Regardless, it was a fun experiment.  Not sure if I’ll repeat it or not, but I liked the way this image of Ayla turned out.
