This cedar waxwing (Bombycilla cedrorum) was seen on my morning walk to work. You typically hear these birds before you see them as they have the most amazing calls filled with trills and sharp, high pitched whistling.
There was not much light at this time of morning and I really had to struggle with this old Canon reflex lens, but the Fuji X-T1 was rendering some really nice subtle colors right before the sun made it to this side of the canyon. I am very much looking forward to adopting the new Fuji 100-400mm lens which is quite a bit faster and with autofocus! That will be the new birding lens when it ships in February.
