Easter 2015

Happy Easter Classified Retina 2015

On this day, the Christian world celebrates Christ, who washed the feet of the poor and outcast. To those who are marginalizing people, crafting law to disenfranchise them and refusing service in the name of religion, remember this.

On another note, I don’t know when Easter became associated with pastel colors and the coloring of eggs.  Some claim that the tradition of dyed eggs existed in the early Mesopotamian Christian church, but I’d guess certainly well after the Gregorian calendar came into being.  Regardless, this image of pastel shapes is a derivation of data from the degenerating retinas from a model of retinitis pigmentosa (RP) and it reminded me of the Easter season.

Also remember this: These eyes are going blind so that others may see…  An acknowledgement of sacrifice, progress and hope.
