Berlin has the most amazing assortment of Alfa Romeos from the 1960s and 1970s.  Every time I go, there is another beautiful Alfa on the streets.  The last time I went, there was a 1750 GT that caught my eye.  This time, walking along with Duncan, it was a GT 1300, just sitting there, demurely calling to me in a hybrid of Italian and German.  Berlin is very much a car city with the passion for the automobile that many places here in America seem to have lost.  Or perhaps it is that they are just as crazy as Americans for their gears, but its all concentrated in a much smaller place than America.  Regardless, if you are an unabashed appreciator of gearheaded gnarlyness, Germany and in particular, Berlin is the place to go.

Perhaps I need to make a return trip to Germany to document some of the car scene there…  Hrmmmmmm…..
