Robert Marc at the JEOL JEM-1400 Electron Microscope during a video shoot for the University of Utah the other day. There is a key fluorescent tube in front of his face, down underneath the microscope objectives, a hair highlight light above and behind and a fill light to the left, behind the microscope column.
Wow! Posting on Moran Facebook tomorrow. Bryan, you are one amazing photog.
Thank you Virginia. Though lighting was being set up for the video shoot. I poached off of that… :)
Great photo. Thanks for describing the lighting setup. Now I can see the slight color temperature difference on his hair. Too bad you couldn’t move the fluorescent tube slightly out of frame and I never would have known! I’m a new follower of your blog and a fellow photographer. You’ve got a very interesting feed even though I’m not a scientist.
Cheers,

Thank you Stephen,
You have some excellent stuff on your site. Love the night shots at Edwards. Wow. You keep a blog or Flickr site or do you post everything to your photo site?
Bryan,
Thanks for the kind words. Much more is on my flickr page at:

The website is new and still under construction.
Cool. Just followed you on Flickr.
