Lunar Eclipse

This post is a little late due to a weird series of hard drive failures, a looming manuscript deadline and more.  Regardless, better late than never so I give to you a series of images from the last lunar eclipse of 2011 as seen from the Moran Eye Center on the morning of December 10th.  I shot on a timer until the moon started moving down through the haze and fog and the sun started rising behind me.

The image just above was one grabbed with my iPhone held up to a spotting scope.  Not as much pixel depth, but still a higher magnification image than I could get with the SLR cameras.
