J-Wings: A-10 Thunderbolt II

Just published a few pics in a recent Ikaros publication on the A-10 Thunderbolt II from way back when.  The publishers, working with Warthog News, found my images with a simple search which is why folks need a web presence with their archives available someplace online.  Most of my photography related revenue comes from assignments where I am asked to go and shoot a job, providing imagery directly to the client, but every so often a request comes through for archived imagery.  You never know when and where these opportunities come from, so its good to be prepared.  I am always amazed at how many photographers I know don’t have any sort of web presence, especially when it comes to imagery from their portfolio.  Its one thing to fear that lots of people will steal your imagery if you place it online (and they will), but its also a source of revenue that you might not otherwise tap into.  Especially considering that it does not require any additional location costs and time away from other gigs or responsibilities.

Get that imagery online!

  1. Congrats!!! These are some super cool pictures on the linked page. It’s nice to see picts of the planes being worked on. The ones outside on the runway look hot!
    Thanks for sharing.

    1. Thanks. Its a little revenue from old archives for sure and yeah… Its neat to see solid aircraft being refurbished and saving everyone time and money. Its an excellent program that keeps these aircraft flying and in the fight, all while saving taxpayer money.
