Carousel

Last Saturday, H and I joined up with ~1000 other employees of the Moran Eye Center at Hogle Zoo for our summer party.  A good time was had by all and I rode a carousel for the first time in *years*.  We got the coolest animals on the ride, with H riding the preying mantis and me on the turkey.

As an aside, the carousel is perhaps the oldest form of amusement ride in the world with the first recorded instance around 500 AD by the Byzantines.  Just goes to show you that good design persists.
