I was fortunate enough to sit on the committee of one of the Ph.D. students down in the Scientific Computing and Imaging Institute, Liz Jurrus. The other members on the committee, Liz’s PI, Tolga Tasdizen, Ross Whitaker, Tom Henderson, Hal Daumé and Erik Jorgensen sat down today while Liz formally presented and defended her dissertation. I am most happy to report that Liz passed and is now, Dr. Jurrus.
