Cold steel

It’s been a cold, hard week and this image seems to represent that somehow…  Looking through the microscope this evening at some tissue samples, I pulled the slide off and looked back at the screen to see a pattern in the computer screen staring back at me.  It took me a moment to figure out what I was looking at which was the stainless steel slide holder that had moved forward, underneath the microscope objective.  What you are seeing is the grain of the stainless steel mosaiced and oriented into 4 separate images that makes it look like one of those gods eyes from back in the 1970’s.

Now… back to work getting this manuscript submitted before bed tonight.
