James Anderson’s Dissertation Defense

James Anderson (Jamie) successfully defended his dissertation today.  Jamie came into the lab at a fortuitous time after having amassed a coding skill set that would serve him well.  His dissertation evolved into the creation of a codebase that would become the Viking application, enabling the browsing and annotation of the connectome project here in the Marclab.

Jamie is moving to Corvallis, but will be staying on with the Marclab to continue development of the tools, participating and helping to lead the way in one of the most exciting areas of neuroscience right now, connectomics.
