Winter Solstice Yesterday we ran up to Red Butte Garden to celebrate the winter solstice. I do enjoy skiing and the change in seasons, but after Christmas and New Years, I look forward to warmer weather and the winter solstice signifies an end to the ever shortening daylight at least for another year. So, H and I went up with C, C and our nephew F to partake in some of the stories, see Red Butte Garden in its winter glory and throw a yule log onto the fire looking forward to more daylight. ![]() ![]() ![]() Afterwards, we journeyed back to the house to deliver an early Christmas to F, C and C as we would not see them on Christmas day. F's Grandparents sent him a fire engine and a rocking horse, both of which he seemed to thoroughly enjoy. ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted: Sat - December 22, 2007 at 12:47 AM |
